On this countryside tour, discover the typical Dutch countryside and villages and get an idea of what life was about 75 years ago.

Discover the magnificent area of the Dutch polder landscape north of Amsterdam, marked by windmills, dikes and ditches. After a stop to taste some traditionally made products at a cheese farm, visit the picturesque villages of Edam and the Zaanse Schans, where you will have the opportunity to visit a windmill and wooden shoe factory.

Continue to Volendam and Marken, two fishermen's villages along the former Zuiderzee where some people still wear the traditional costumes. Marken used to be an island until it was connected to the mainland by a dike only a few years ago.

The transfer from Volendam to Marken will be by boat thru the Zuiderzee. In both villages you will have some free time to discover for yourself the narrow paved streets and souvenir shops, or enjoy a bite in a traditional local restaurant (lunch not included in ticket price).

This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
